DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Celia was
located near latitude 21.4 North, longitude 138.0 West. Celia is
moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h). A turn
toward the west is expected on Friday.

Satellite wind data indicate that the maximum sustained winds
remain near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is
expected, and Celia is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone
on Friday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 150 miles (240 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
