DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Blas was
located near latitude 20.1 North, longitude 132.5 West. Blas is
moving toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A gradual turn
to the west is expected during the next day or two.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 60 mph (95 km/h)
with higher gusts. Additional weakening is forecast, and Blas is
expected to become a remnant low on Sunday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 998 mb (29.47 inches).
