DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 300 AM CST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Otto was
located near latitude 9.2 North, longitude 92.5 West. Otto is moving
toward the west near 18 mph (30 km/h), and a quick westward to west-
southwestward motion is expected to continue through Sunday.

Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with
higher gusts. Some additional weakening is forecast during the next
48 hours.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1000 mb (29.53 inches).
