DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 AM MST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Rick was
located near latitude 16.1 North, longitude 110.3 West. Rick is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this
general motion with a gradual decrease in forward speed is expected
through Saturday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) to
the west of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
