DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 300 PM MDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Linda was
located near latitude 14.8 North, longitude 109.7 West. Linda is
moving toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h), and this
general motion is expected to continue during the next couple of
days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 60 mph (95 km/h) with
higher gusts. Additional strengthening is forecast, and Linda
could become a hurricane on Monday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).
