DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Six-E
was located near latitude 14.0 North, longitude 126.0 West. The
depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h).
A west-northwestward to northwestward motion is expected during the
next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher
gusts.  Some strengthening is expected during the next 48 hours, and
the depression is forecast to become a tropical storm later tonight
or on Monday.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).
