A HURRICANE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE COAST OF MAINLAND
MEXICO FROM TOPOLOBAMPO NORTHWARD TO GUAYMAS.
 
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE COAST OF MAINLAND
MEXICO FROM SOUTH OF TOPOLOBAMPO SOUTHWARD TO ALTATA.

90 KM...NORTH-NORTHWEST OF LOS MOCHIS MEXICO AND ABOUT 125 MILES
...195 KM...EAST-NORTHEAST OF LORETO MEXICO. 
 
NORBERT IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST NEAR 17 MPH...28 KM/HR...AND
THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO TOMORROW.  ON THIS TRACK
THE CENTER OF NORBERT WILL BE MAKING LANDFALL IN AN HOUR OR TWO AND
INTO NORTHWESTERN MEXICO OVERNIGHT.

THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 175
MILES...280 KM.  LOS MOCHIS RECENTLY REPORTED SUSTAINED WINDS OF 58
MPH...93 KM/HR...WITH GUSTS TO 69 MPH...111 KM/HR.  
 
THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 961 MB...28.38 INCHES.
 
NORBERT IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 6

GRADUALLY SUBSIDE TONIGHT.  STORM SURGE FLOODING OF 4 TO 7 FEET
ABOVE NORMAL TIDE LEVELS...ALONG WITH LARGE AND DANGEROUS BATTERING
WAVES...IS EXPECTED ALONG THE COAST OF MAINLAND MEXICO...NEAR
AND TO THE SOUTHEAST OF WHERE NORBERT MAKES LANDFALL.

TOWARD...NORTHEAST NEAR 17 MPH.  MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...85 MPH.
