**TROPICAL DEPRESSION HAROLD WELL INLAND OVER SOUTH TEXAS**

NEW INFORMATION
---------------

* CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - All watches and warnings have been canceled

* CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS:
    - None

* STORM INFORMATION:
    - About 120 miles west of Corpus Christi TX
    - 27.6N 99.3W
    - Storm Intensity 35 mph
    - Movement West-northwest or 290 degrees at 21 mph

SITUATION OVERVIEW
------------------

Tropical Depression Harold has weakened some as it continues
marching across South Texas this afternoon and is currently located
approximately 40 miles southeast of Laredo and is moving west-
northwest at around 20 MPH. Current observations show easterly winds
gusting up to 40 MPH. Threats are diminishing as Harold continues
toward the Texas/Mexico border, wind speeds have diminished
significantly over south Texas and the Tropical Storm Warning has been
canceled.

Threats that remain include:

- Flash Flooding: Moderate threat of flash flooding mainly south and
west of I-37, especially in urban areas. Rainfall accumulations 2 to
4" with locally up to 6" through early Wednesday.

- Coastal Flooding: Moderate coastal flooding is expected with up to
2 ft of inundation possible across the Middle Texas Coast including
the bays between Baffin Bay and Matagorda Bay.

POTENTIAL IMPACTS
-----------------

* FLOODING RAIN:
Additional impacts from flooding rain are still a concern across the 
Brush Country. 

* SURGE:
Little to no additional surge impacts expected. The impacts that 
remain possible include:

    - Localized inundation with storm surge flooding mainly along 
      immediate shorelines and in low-lying spots.
    - Sections of near-shore roads and parking lots become overspread 
      with surge water. Driving conditions dangerous in places where 
      surge water covers the road.
    - Moderate beach erosion. Heavy surf also breaching dunes, mainly 
      in usually vulnerable locations. Strong rip currents.
    - Minor to locally moderate damage to marinas, docks, boardwalks, 
      and piers. A few small craft broken away from moorings.

* TORNADOES:
Additional impacts from tornadoes are still a concern across South 
Texas.

* WIND:
Little to no additional impacts are anticipated at this time 
across South Texas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
----------------------------------

* OTHER PREPAREDNESS INFORMATION:

If using a generator, avoid carbon monoxide poisoning by following 
instructions provided by the manufacturer. Operate your generator in 
a well-ventilated space outside of your living area and away from 
open doors and windows.

Be alert for flooded roads which could be compromised or littered 
with debris. Avoid travel until water levels subside and roads have 
been cleared. Do not drive through places where flood waters cover 
the road. Turn around, don't drown!

Have multiple ways to receive Tornado Warnings if issued. Consider 
nearby shelter options as you move about. Be ready to shelter quickly.
