WARNINGS HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED.

THIS LOCAL STATEMENT PROVIDES IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND
RECOMMENDED ACTIONS FOR PEOPLE AND MARINE INTERESTS IN SELECT
LOCATIONS AND COASTAL WATERS OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND AND
MASSACHUSETTS AND RHODE ISLAND COASTAL WATERS. 

.WATCHES/WARNINGS...
TROPICAL CYCLONE WATCHES AND WARNINGS ARE NO LONGER IN EFFECT
ANYWHERE ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND AS WELL AS THE MASSACHUSETTS
AND RHODE ISLAND COASTAL WATERS.

PLEASE CHECK THE LATEST PUBLIC AND MARINE FORECASTS FOR DETAILED
INFORMATION ABOUT ANY ADDITIONAL HAZARDS.

.STORM INFORMATION...
AT 4 AM EDT...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM ARTHUR WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 43.1N...LONGITUDE 66.9W. THIS WAS ABOUT 210 MILES
NORTHEAST OF NANTUCKET MA. STORM MOTION WAS NE OR 35 DEGREES AT
22 MPH. STORM INTENSITY WAS 70 MPH.

.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
AT 4 AM ARTHUR WAS HEADING INTO THE EASTERN GULF OF MAINE. WINDS
HAVE DROPPED BELOW TROPICAL STORM FORCE ACROSS NANTUCKET...CAPE
COD AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS.

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MANY CASUALTIES OCCUR AFTER A STORM HAS PASSED. BE SMART AND USE
