SUBJECT:   SOLICITING COMMENTS BY NOVEMBER 15 2006 ON EXPERIMENTAL 
           PROBABILISTIC HURRICANE STORM SURGE PRODUCTS

BEGINNING JUNE 1 2006 AND CONTINUING THROUGH NOVEMBER 15 2006... 
THE NWS IS SEEKING USER FEEDBACK ON EXPERIMENTAL PROBABILISTIC
STORM SURGE PRODUCTS ASSOCIATED WITH HURRICANES. 

NWS WILL GENERAGE THESE EXPERIMENTAL PRODUCTS WHEN THE OFFICIAL 
FORECAST OF THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER /NHC/ CALLS FOR A 
HURRICANE TO MAKE LANDFALL WITHIN 24 HOURS ALONG THE ATLANTIC OR 
GULF COASTS OF THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.

BEGINNING JUNE 1 2006 A COMPREHENSIVE DESCRIPTION AND 
STATIC EXAMPLES OF THE EXPERIMENTAL PRODUCTS WILL BE POSTED 
ONLINE AT /USE LOWER CASE LETTERS/:

USERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON THESE EXPERIMENTAL
