SUBJECT:    CHANGE TO FORMAT OF THE TROPICAL CYCLONE 
            DISCUSSION FOR THE ATLANTIC HURRICANE BASIN:
            EFFECTIVE JUNE 1 2009 

THROUGH 2008 THE LOCAL ISSUANCE TIME ZONE IN THE TROPICAL 
CYCLONE DISCUSSION /TCD/ PRODUCT WAS NOTED AS 
EASTERN...REGARDLESS OF THE LOCATION OF THE TROPICAL CYCLONE.

EFFECTIVE JUNE 1 2009...THE LOCAL ISSUANCE TIME ZONE FOR THE TCD 
PRODUCT WILL BE NOTED AS ATLANTIC...EASTERN...OR 
CENTRAL...DEPENDING ON THE LOCATION OF THE TROPICAL CYCLONE.  
THIS CHANGE WILL ENSURE THE LOCAL ISSUANCE TIME ZONE FOR 
ATLANTIC BASIN TCD PRODUCTS IS THE SAME AS IN THE COMPANION 
TROPICAL CYCLONE PUBLIC ADVISORY /TCP/ PRODUCT.

AN EXAMPLE OF THE TCD PRODUCT FOR 2009 IS PROVIDED ONLINE AT
