For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

Shower activity associated with a broad low located about 1400 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is gradually becoming better organized. Environmental conditions appear conducive for additional development and this system is expected to become a tropical depression during the next couple of days while it moves westward or west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...80 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.

A surface trough of low pressure located about 1300 miles southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii is producing disorganized shower activity. Development of this system is possible during the next few days while it moves westward into the central Pacific. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...30 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.

An area of low pressure is forecast to form several hundred miles south of the coast of Mexico in a few days.
