For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center has issued the last advisory on Post-Tropical Cyclone Norma, located a few hundred miles west of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

A large area of disturbed weather associated with a broad area of low pressure is located a few hundred miles southeast of Acapulco, Mexico. Conditions are favorable for a tropical depression to form by the weekend while this system moves west-northwestward very near the southern coast of Mexico. Regardless of tropical cyclone formation, heavy rains are expected in this area during the next several days. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.
