Showers and thunderstorms have increased a little in association with a broad area of low pressure located about 1100 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Environmental conditions appear favorable for development of this system during the next few days while it moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.

An area of low pressure located about 1600 miles east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii is producing disorganized cloudiness and showers.
