HURRICANE MATTHEW CONTINUES TO LIFT NORTHWARD AWAY FROM SOUTH FLORIDA THIS MORNING, WITH THE CENTER CURRENTLY LOCATED JUST NORTHEAST OF CAPE CANAVERAL.

LINGERING RAINBANDS MAY STILL BRING HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND GUSTY WINDS, BUT TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS ARE NO LONGER EXPECTED ANYWHERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA.

HAZARDOUS MARINE CONDITIONS AND DANGEROUS SURF WILL CONTINUE OVER ALL THE LOCAL WATERS INTO THIS WEEKEND, ESPECIALLY OVER THE ATLANTIC. THIS WILL LEAD TO CONTINUING ATLANTIC BEACH EROSION, AS WELL AS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS THROUGH THE WEEKEND.
