TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
500 PM PDT WED AUG 12 2015

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms extending several hundred
miles south and southwest of Acapulco, Mexico, are associated with
a tropical wave. An area of low pressure is forecast to form in
association with this wave within a couple of days, and
environmental conditions are conducive for the low to become a
tropical cyclone over the weekend or early next week while it moves
west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph well offshore the coast of
Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent

2. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a low pressure area
located about 1250 miles east of the Big Island of Hawaii remain
poorly organized. Development of this system is unlikely due to
unfavorable environmental conditions while it moves westward at 10
to 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent
