For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Depression Eight, located about three hundred miles east-southeast
of Bermuda.

1. A tropical wave is expected to move westward from the coast of
Africa on Thursday.  Some slow development of this system is
possible over the weekend as it moves westward across the tropical
Atlantic at about 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent

header WTNT33 KNHC and under AWIPS header MIATCPAT3.
Forecast/Advisories on Eight are issued under WMO header WTNT23 KNHC
and under AWIPS header MIATCMAT3.
