Environmental conditions appear conducive for additional development, and only a small increase in the organization of the associated shower and thunderstorm activity would lead to the formation of a tropical depression, likely tonight or on Saturday. The low is forecast to move west-northwestward at about 10 mph well offshore the coast of Mexico, and further development appears unlikely by Sunday when the system is expected to encounter less favorable environmental conditions. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...80 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent. $$ Forecaster Berg
