For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

An area of low pressure is expected to develop a few hundred miles
south or southeast of the southern tip of Baja California during the
next couple of days.  Environmental conditions are expected to be
conducive for the development of a tropical cyclone by mid-week
while the system moves generally northward.
