For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

A broad area of low pressure has formed a few hundred miles south
of the Gulf of Tehuantepec.  Some development of this system is
possible by this weekend while it moves westward to
west-northwestward parallel to the coast of Mexico.
