For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Orlene, located several hundred miles west-southwest of the southern
tip of the Baja California peninsula.

An area of low pressure has formed a few hundred miles south-
southwest of Acapulco, Mexico. Environmental conditions are only
marginally conducive for development during the next few days, but
are expected to become more favorable after that. Slow development
of this system is possible by this weekend, and a tropical
depression could form while the low moves west-northwestward or
northwestward.
