For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Patricia, located a couple of hundred miles south of Acapulco,
Mexico.

An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles
south or south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California
peninsula late this week or over the weekend.  Environmental
conditions are expected to be somewhat conducive for some slow
development of this system while it moves slowly toward the
east-northeast or northeast.
