000 ABPZ20 KNHC 192337 TWOEP TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 500 PM PDT MON OCT 19 2015 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Olaf, located about 1280 miles east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Shower and thunderstorm activity extending several hundred miles off the coast of Guatemala and southern Mexico is associated with a low pressure system located about 220 miles southeast of Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Although strong northerly winds blowing over the Gulf of Tehuantepec are temporarily inhibiting development, environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for a tropical depression to form during the next day or two while the low moves west-northwestward or northwestward offshore of the coast of southeastern Mexico. Interests along the south-central and southwestern coasts of Mexico should monitor the progress of this system during the next few days.
