For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

Showers and thunderstorms have decreased since yesterday near a
tropical wave located about 1250 miles southwest of the southern tip
of the Baja California peninsula.  However, environmental conditions
are forecast to be conducive for development, and a tropical
depression is likely to form by early next week while the system
moves west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph.
