For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Kevin, located a few hundred miles southwest of the southern
tip of the Baja California peninsula.

A broad area of low pressure centered several hundred miles south of
Manzanillo, Mexico is producing disorganized showers and
thunderstorms.  Strong upper-level winds over this system are
expected to diminish over the weekend, which could allow for some
development of this disturbance early next week while it moves
generally northwestward at 5 to 10 mph offshore of the coast of
Mexico.
