For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Jimena, located about a thousand miles southwest of the southern tip
of the Baja California peninsula.

A broad area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred
miles southwest of Mexico over the weekend.  Environmental
conditions could be conducive for some development early next week
while the system moves toward the west or west-northwest at about 10
mph.
