For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

A small area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms about 1000
miles southwest of the Baja California peninsula is associated with
a tropical wave.  Some gradual development of this system is
possible during the next several days while it moves westward at
about 10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent

A low pressure area is expected to form well south of the coast of
Mexico early next week.  Environmental conditions could support
subsequent slow development of the system while it moves
west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph.
