For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure
centered about 550 miles south of the southern tip of the Baja
California peninsula are gradually becoming better organized, but
there are still no indications that this system has a closed
surface wind circulation.  Environmental conditions remain
conducive for further development, and a tropical depression is
expected to form on Saturday or Sunday while the system moves
west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph away from the coast of Mexico.
