For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure
centered about 550 miles south of the southern tip of the Baja
California peninsula have changed little in organization during the
day, and recent satellite-derived wind data indicate that this
system does not yet have a closed surface wind circulation.
However, environmental conditions remain conducive for further
development, and a tropical depression is expected to form on
Saturday or Sunday while the system moves west-northwestward at 10
to 15 mph away from the coast of Mexico.
