For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

A broad area of low pressure centered several hundred miles south-
southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, continues to produce a large area
of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.  Environmental conditions
are conducive for a tropical cyclone to form from this system over
the weekend while it moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph well
offshore the coast of Mexico.
