A broad area of low pressure located near and south of the Cabo Verde Islands continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for some development over the next couple of days, and a tropical depression is still likely to form by mid-week before large-scale conditions become less favorable.
