A broad area of low pressure, associated with a tropical wave, is located about 700 miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. This disturbance is producing a large but disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms, and any development of this system during the next couple of days should be slow to occur due to its proximity to dry air.
