The ITCZ continues from 06N93W to 04N108W to 06N115W to beyond 03N140W. Scattered moderate and isolated strong convection is observed from 01N-07N between 88W-105W and from 03N-07N between 112W-135W. ...OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... Surface ridging along 30N combined with a trough over the Gulf of California is promoting fresh to strong NW winds within 60 NM of the Pacific waters west of the Baja peninsula. Elsewhere, winds are gentle to moderate. Seas are 5-7 ft in the waters west of Baja, 4-6 ft in the waters south of S Mexico, and 1-3 ft in the Gulf of California. For the forecast, fresh to strong NW to N winds will prevail along the Baja offshore waters through Thu night. A brief period of strong W winds is expected in the N Gulf of California Tue night and Wed morning, as a surface trough moves across the region. Gentle to moderate winds and moderate seas will prevail elsewhere.
