The following information is based on satellite imagery, weather observations, radar, and meteorological analysis. Based on 0000 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0300 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... The monsoon trough extends from 11.5N86W to 13N95W to 08N118W. The ITCZ extends from 08N118W to beyond 08N140W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection prevails from 08N to 11N between 95W and 105W. Scattered moderate convection prevails from 06N to 08N between 125W and 135W and from 08N to 11N W of 135W. ...DISCUSSION... OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... A northwest to southeast ridge will prevail west of the area. This will support mainly gentle to moderate northwest breeze west of the Baja Peninsula. Seas of 7 to 9 ft will propagate southeast across the waters north of 27N Wed through Thu, subsiding below 8 ft on Thu night. Gulf of California: A surface trough over the northern Gulf of California will support moderate locally fresh southwesterly winds through Thu morning. Light and variable winds are expected across the southern gulf until late Thu before increasing to moderate to fresh. Gulf of Tehuantepec: Winds are expected to be light and variable through the upcoming weekend. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... The monsoon trough will gradually shift southward this week, reaching 10N by Fri. Light to gentle southwest to west winds, and 3 to 5 ft seas will prevail S of the trough. Gentle to occasionally moderate offshore nocturnal winds will prevail near gap areas N of the trough. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... A surface ridge extends across the northern waters. Fresh to locally strong trades, and 7 to 10 ft seas, are observed across the tropics south of the ridge from 10N to 20N west of 127W. These conditions will gradually diminish through Thu. Northerly swell, with seas in the 8 to 9 ft range prevails north of 26N between 124W and 135W. The swell will propagate southward the next couple of days while subsiding.
