Based on 0600 UTC surface analysis and satellite imagery through 0900 UTC. ...INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE/MONSOON TROUGH... A surface trough extends from 09.5N84.5W to 06N92W to 05N99W. The ITCZ continues from 05N99W to 03N103W to 05N125W to beyond 03N140W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is noted from 05N to 08N between 81W and 87W. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection was noted from 03N to 06N W of 130W. ...DISCUSSION... OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF MEXICO... High pressure building NW of the area will support fresh to strong NW winds off Baja California Norte this weekend, with seas building to near 10 ft by Sun night. Winds and seas will then decrease Mon and Tue. Elsewhere over the open Pacific waters, light to gentle winds and seas of 4-6 ft will prevail. OFFSHORE WATERS WITHIN 250 NM OF CENTRAL AMERICA, COLOMBIA, AND WITHIN 750 NM OF ECUADOR... Light to gentle winds are expected through the forecast period. Seas in the 2-4 ft range will prevail, except for the far southern zones where southerly swell will build seas to 4-6 ft this weekend. REMAINDER OF THE AREA... High pressure of 1022 mb is centered over the northern waters near 28N127W. A weak pressure pattern prevails across the forecast waters, supporting mainly gentle to moderate winds over much of the forecast waters. The exceptions are light winds in the vicinity of the high center, with fresh winds over the far NW waters. A cold front will enter the forecast waters today. Winds over the NW waters will briefly increase to near 25 kt. A set of decaying NW swell will propagate into the far NW waters, building seas to near 9 ft over the far northern waters. A second cold front will move into the NW waters early next week. This front will usher in a larger NW swell, with seas peaking near 15 ft over the far NW waters Tue. $$ AL
