DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Cristina was located near latitude 18.4 North, longitude 111.9 West. Cristina is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this general motion with a gradual bend to the west is expected during the next few days. Maximum sustained winds remain near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Cristina could become a hurricane on Friday before weakening begins over the weekend.
