DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Hurricane Hector was located near latitude 14.1 North, longitude 129.8 West. Hector is moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue for the next few days. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 105 mph (165 km/h) with higher gusts. Hector is forecast to strengthen into a major hurricane tomorrow and continue at that intensity for a couple of days. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 15 miles (30 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km).
