DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 700 PM PST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Sandra was located near latitude 14.2 North, longitude 116.0 West. Sandra is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue through Monday. A turn toward the west is forecast on Tuesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some gradual weakening is forecast during the next couple of days. Sandra is expected to become a remnant low early Tuesday and dissipate by Wednesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center in the northeastern quadrant.
