DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 PM PST (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Sandra was located near latitude 14.0 North, longitude 115.2 West. Sandra is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue with a gradual turn to the west over the next several days. Satellite derived wind data indicates that maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so, followed by gradual weakening. Sandra is expected to become a remnant low on Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
