Howard is moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast to begin by tonight and Wednesday.
