Celia is moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h). A turn toward the west is expected tonight, and a westward motion at a faster forward speed is expected Saturday and Saturday night. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Celia may become a hurricane on Sunday.
