DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Paul was located near latitude 20.1 North, longitude 119.9 West. Paul is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h), and a turn toward the west-northwest is expected Tuesday morning. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Further weakening is forecast during the next few days, and Paul is expected to become a remnant low toward the end of the week. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
