The depression is moving toward the west near 9 mph (15 km/h). A west-northwest to northwest motion is expected during the next few days. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm overnight or on Sunday.
