DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kristy was located near latitude 14.7 North, longitude 129.6 West. Kristy is moving toward the west-northwest near 6 mph (9 km/h). A turn toward the north is expected later today or early Thursday, and a general northward motion is forecast to continue for a few days thereafter. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slow strengthening is expected during the next couple of days.
