DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1000 PM PDT (0500 UTC), the center of newly formed Tropical Depression Thirteen-E was located near latitude 14.5 North, longitude 124.3 West. The depression is moving toward the west near 10 mph (17 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days with a turn toward the northwest forecast on Thursday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. The depression is forecast to become a tropical storm on Tuesday and intensify slowly after that time. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
