DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Twelve-E was located near latitude 14.6 North, longitude 105.8 West. The depression is moving toward the northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h), and this general motion with some increase in forward speed is expected over the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next few days, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm tonight, and strengthen into hurricane by Monday night or Tuesday. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- SURF: Swells generated by this system are expected to begin affecting the coast of southwestern Mexico during the next day or two.
