DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Aletta was located near latitude 16.8 North, longitude 116.2 West. Aletta is moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph (11 km/h). A westward motion is expected to resume tonight, followed by a slow turn toward the west-southwest on Tuesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts. Steady weakening is expected over the next several days and Aletta is forecast to become a remnant low by late Monday or early Tuesday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 115 miles (185 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
