Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front has entered the far western Gulf. A
pre- frontal trough is producing strong to severe thunderstorms
over the north-central to NW Gulf. Strong SE to S winds will
prevail east of a cold front. The front will reach from the
Florida panhandle to the NW coast of the Yucatan Peninsula by
Thu morning, then move SE of the area Fri morning. Winds will
briefly reach gale force offshore Tampico, Mexico this morning
and off Veracruz, Mexico this afternoon behind the front.
Frequent gusts to gale force are possible with thunderstorm
activity over the north- central to northeastern Gulf through
Thu morning. High pressure will build in the wake of the front
with improving conditions through the upcoming weekend.
