Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...Thunderstorms in the north-central Gulf of Mexico
have inducted an outflow boundary that is causing locally
near-gale force winds and seas of 8 to 10 ft in portions of the
central Gulf tonight. Similar conditions are possible Sat in the
NE Gulf, ahead of a cold front that will move SE through the
basin through Sun. Areas of fog will prevail over the far
northern Gulf tonight. Winds behind the front will generally be
NW to N fresh to strong, except for near gale N winds near
Veracruz Sat night into Sun. In the extended range, conditions
across the Gulf are forecast to become quiescent for much of
next week.
