Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from Cape Sable, Florida near
25N81W to north of the Yucatan Peninsula near 22.5N88W, and it
continues as a stationary front from there to the south-central
Bay of Campeche near 19N94W. The front will move SE and enter
the NW Caribbean on Wed, accompanied by fresh to strong winds.
Fresh to strong northerly winds are expected to persist along
the coast near Veracruz, Mexico through Wed. Strong NE winds
will expand across the Bay of Campeche Wed before diminishing
Wed night. High pressure behind the front will shift E into the
Atlantic Thu night, inducing moderate to fresh return flow
across most of the basin Fri through Sat, ahead of the next cold
front that is forecast to enter the NW Gulf Sat evening. Strong
to near-gale force winds are likely behind the front, with gale
force winds possible in the SW Gulf.
